I bought all my grains for Ed Wort's Hause Pale Ale last weekend but ran out of time to brew. This'll be my first all-grain batch. The crushed grains are in a grain bag which I placed in a plastic garbage bag tied shut to keep as much moisture out as possible. I'm planning on brewing tonight or tomorrow. My question is will the grains be ok for AG or have they sat crushed for too long.

thanks:mug:

They'll be fine. Sooner is better, but my son had to move last year with two AG kits pending, both from Midwest with pre-crushed grain. It was 6 months before he got settled enough in his new place to brew again, and the beer was fine. Note that this was grains in sealed plastic bags......

Now that I'm brewing AG, I order my grain uncrushed, and generally crush the day before brewday.
