I just got my fathers wood lathe, going to start playing soon, if your not in a hurry I'm sure I'll have plenty of version 1 tap handles around
I just bought some custom handles from a local wood carver here in Houston. She does mostly custom work,
and carved exactly what I asked for (a dog, and a hop vine, etc).
I have a few being made now as well. Her email is
