Hey,

How long will a Wyeast Smack Pack be good for AFTER it has been smacked, and stored at room temp?

They are still blown up tight as they could be. Kind of afraid to touch them for fear of making something explode.

Anyway, if they are all puffed up, are they still pitchable without re-starting?

You should put them in the fridge if you're not going to use them for a few days (or longer). You're just losing viability if you leave them out at room temp.

They have been out for over a week, 10 days. I am planning to brew this sat. Whole bunch of life has gotten in the way lately.

Pitch 'em or dump 'em?

Make a starter today, and you'll be on set for this weekend. I would NOT dump them. Yeast is expensive!

If you could run through the whole starter thingy. Kind of new to that. I have a gallon of starter wort made and in the fridge.

Can I use that?
Warm it up and ....?
