Hop Nog 2009.

Picked it up today on a whim. The guy at my store says they try something new every year and that it is usually pretty good.

Consensus?

I am gonna start my batch tonight.

sounds like a cool mystery brew, I wish I could tell you that I've tried it...but I cant, hope it turns out well.
now im totally curious ...I might have to pick one of these kits up
I know box kits kindof have a stigma about them being lame kits, but I've never made a bad beer from brewers best.

8 hours in and no visible signs of fermenting. Saddening.

Anywho. The kit markets itself as an organic IPA. I had to steep grains and everything. It also used something I have never heard of called Maltoferm. It is some form of a DME, but who knows.

Ill let you guys know how it turns out when I am done with it.

My first and probably last (because of comparison, others seem fresher, no shelf time) brew was Brewer's Best Irish Stout. It took about 40 hours for the ferm. to start, I was freaking out. I knew I did everything right...and then it just happened. Good luck.
