I want to use some chocolate for my oatmeal stout and I found some lying around the house. Its Hershey's Cocoa, I looked on the nut. facts and its got 0 sugar (which is what we use for our beers correct?) Isnt this the bakers chocolate im looking for? Its 8 oz, which should be good enough for what I want

Yes this is what you want. However. you will get better taste out of unsweetened powered baking chocolate. But this should be fine. I would cut it up or shred it before it goes in so that it doesnt just sit there.

I've read though that baker's chocolate can kill head retention though.

You're probably best using cocoa powder.
