Hey what exactly is flameout? Are there any special things that you would do during flameout like add certain ingredients?

Flameout is when you turn off the heat or if using propane you turn off the flame. Some recipes call for added aroma/flavor hops after flameout or more extract

Yep. Flameout is simply the moment you quit boiling your wort and move to the next step, namely cooling it down as quickly as possible. Flameout is when some people add their extract (or partial quantities of extract) and/or aroma hops. I personally add my extract with 10-15 minutes left to ensure it is completely pasteurized.
