Has anyone else done this? I cut the neck off of a 5 gallon plastic water-cooler bottle, cut a hole near the bottom for the spigot, and use this as my bottling bucket. Works like a charm, and I can see from my seated position as I bottle, exactly what's going on in the "bucket". Plus, I can get my arm down in there to clean it.

Sounds neat. The clear sides would be handy...except for possible UV. Proabably not a big deal. I would be tempted to leave the top on and purge with CO2.

Sounds like a good idea. Usually the 'water cooler bottles' aren't the best thing to use (for fermentation, secondary), but they will work just fine for bottling! :)
