...And I'm really not sure what to get! I'm looking for 2-3 pounds of hops, which will last me for a looong time brewing. I've spent a few hours looking through recipes and hop lists, and I think I've come up with a list of "possibles". I think it's pretty safe to dedicate one pound to Cascades, as they are pretty versatile hops. As for the others, they might be:
Hallertau
Tettnanger
Wiliamette
Northern Brewer
EK Golding
Magnum
Which of these would you recommend, or perhaps something else altogether?
I haven't really "settled in" yet on particular beer styles I would like to brew, as I really haven't experienced them all (and want to, by brewing them )! So versatility is hey here. But I do know I'll be making some lawnmowers and stouts for sure.
And if at all possible, if they could either be sourced through hopsdirect or freshops, that would be best (but I'll buy from a retailer if there's really no way; just trying to pinch my pennies ).
Thanks a bunch in advance!
