I'm brewing a SMaSH, starting gravity should be 1.054... I want this one really balanced, which looks like 26 IBU. I have 1 ounce of Cascade to use, but I understand from recent reading that this hop can lose its grapefruitness and impart a piney flavor if boiled too long. That I don't want... I like that citrus note. Anyway, it looks like I hit target bitterness several ways, one being .5 @ 60 minutes and .5 @ 5 minutes. I can also do it with .5 @ 30 minutes and .5 @ 15. I'm sure there are other schedules that work too, and I'm open to ideas. Of these two, which do you think will be better for me? Also... I'm thinking another .5 at flameout for aroma (I know...adds up to 1.5)
Thanks all
