Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew a simple, idiot proof cheap mead recipe that a beginner could understand and possibly succeed at? Just looking for a simple basic, classic mead.
thanks everyone!

Simple. Just add honey, water, and yeast!... As a guideline use 3-4 lbs of honey per gallon, use water to top UPTO a total like 1,2,3, or 5 gallons, choose a solid yeast like Lavins EC-1118 or 71B-1122, and maybe pick up a small bottle of yeast nutrient like Fement K and use as directed. Let it ferment for 1-2 months or until the Hydrometer reached .997 then rack and ignore for a year. Back sweeten or bottle then enjoy!

Head to the recipe forum and look up joes ancient orange mead, its one of the more idiot-proof recipes going!
