I have a bigger beer finishing up right now with an English ale yeast and I really want to make sure I can keep the temp up towards the end of fermentation. My basement is sitting at 66 and I'd like to get it up to about 70.
The beer's in a chest freezer and I have a Johnson analog controller (which I just learned can be adjusted to operate heating equipment). So what's the easiest way to add just a little heat to my fermentation chamber? Lightbulb? I don't have a heating pad or anything, but it's starting to look like I need one...
