I racked my Wit yesterday (made w/ WLP 400).

It looks great but does have a fairly strong "sharp" smell that I suspect is the yeast.

When I pitched, it had a very strong coriander smell that has now been overtaken by this other smell.

This is my first attempt at a wit: is this typical? I didn't taste it--I'm not sure why, I usually do.

Like HB99 will tell you, spices need to rest. My wit was terrible for 6 months, now it's perfect.

Don't rush into drinking a wit. All the spices that go into making them need a long time to settle down. I got into homebrewing hoping to make the perfect wit, and I've found that I need to get my patience in order first.
