I tried a search and did not seem to find the answer...

I want to bottle a batch of Russian Imperial Stout by substituting brown sugar for my priming sugar. Is it as simple as ounce for ounce, or is there a different ratio?

Thanks.

Thanks. Your answer will go into this batch.

I was hoping to find such a chart. It was suggested to me that some folks use molasses, maple syrup and all kinds of sugars to enhance different brews. I'm just not that savvy on how fermentable some things are at a given volume or weight.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, using a 1:1 ratio with corn sugar will provide WAY too much carbonation and will make your beer taste awful.

I made a cream stout this way and it was the only bottle bomb I've ever had.

Very, very good to know. Thanks
