I brewed some of the Rainbow Extract in two 2L bottles a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunatly no carb. but I tasted it anyway. IMHO the rainbow taste a little off. Sort of a rootbeer water effect. So I'm begining a new batch and have decided to add a little vanilla and substituting some honey.

Problem is, I don't know how much of each to add..

So, what do you think? Anyone tried this before?

:confused::confused::confused:

I add a tsp of vanilla extract to my root beer and 3 cups of honey. Of course...I do a homemade rootbeer from scratch, so it may not work well if you're using root beer extracts.

I ended up making a gallon recipie:

1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Honey (Missouri Clover)
1.5 T Rainbow Extract Root Beer
1/2 t Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 t Patstuer Chapagne Yeast

Tasted Good at Bottling...I Guess We Will See In A Week ;)

i've never had good results from any of the rainbow extracts. none of them taste right even when made exactly like the directions say..

gnome and zatarains are much better, no doctoring needed to make a decent batch.
