I brewed a Guatemala inspired ale a few years back infused with Rosa Jamica. Turned out quite nice.

Hi all,

I am moving to Guatemala in a few months after just getting back into brewing after a couple year hiatus. I am in need of new all grain equipment, and am debating whether to buy everything here (I will have free shipping through work) or if there are things that could be bought/found for cheaper in Guate if you are creative. Specifically wondering about kegs and fermenter(s), but any other insight or tips that anyone would be willing to provide would be very helpful!

Edit: didnt notice the free shipping via work...not even worth considering hobbling stuff together here...definitely load up and send it down.


For future reference:

Wont find much brewing specific gear in Guate.

My suggestion is ship what you want in via TransCargo. Cheap, flat rate shipping from Miami. It goes ocean freight though so will take a few weeks.

Small stuff you want in quick use CPXBOX.
