Well, I suppose you can be the judge of whether or not these are must haves, but in my experience up to this point, these have been great additions to making my brew day easier or my beer better.

I definitely agree with the auto siphon. I have the other kind and it can be a pain in the butt. For a very small investment it can save a lot of time.
 
I had one that broke to. It was a total piece of crap. This new one I got seems to work just fine and seems to hold up. I guess I can't say I've had it for 3 years, but my other broke out of the box...
 
I'm sure everyone has their own must have list. My top 4 are: an accurate scale, a thermometer I trust, hydrometer, and my chiller!
