I think the regulator on my SP-10 went bad my last batch this Saturday.

The burner lit but I couldn't adjust the flame - choice was on low or off.

I checked to make sure the Venturi wasn't clogged and swapped out my rusted burner but no improvement.

Would this be a regulator gone bad?

Could be, or it could be the safety valve in the tank got stuck. Have another tank to test it with?

Could be the slightest leak that causes the safety valve on the tank to trigger. Is that the reg that has threaded fittings? If so take apart and put some gas pipe dope on the threads. Don't think there is much that can go wrong with those devices beyond clogging or rust.

I assume you are following the same start up procedures that you always use that works. Open the tank valve first, wait a bit then open the regulator slowly.
