Ok, I was told that when converting a 1 gl recipe to 3 gl, don't triple the......something, tannins, acid blend?????? Now I forgot...

Does not make sense to me....if you made 3, one gl batches, then poured them together...what the heck....it's all tripled....

But, i'm doing an Oregon cherry wine...3 lbs puree per gl....

with 1.5 tsp acid blend
1 tsp yeast nutrient
1.5 lbs sugar
1/2 tsp enzyme
1/4 tsp tannin

I did a cherry port that basically tripled the sugar and berries...8 lbs berries per gl...and it was awesome!....

the wine above is my cheap, card game wine....

umm.... I've taken recepies up from 1 gallon up to 3 or 5 gallons by just doing 3x and 5x without any major change in flavor.

By gl you mean gigalitre right? If so I think you'll need more than 1.5lbs of sugar.

Would you be willing to share your recipe for the cherry port?
