I agree. Waste of money. If you want a good stainless pot with not frills and a lid, look at morebeer.com at the heavy duty pots. They are the cheapest around including shipping.
 
LOL. Sorry, I posted it then thought about the prices at some of the local brew stores and said "well crap, what was I thinking?".

I think local restaurant supply warehouses and online stores are the best place to get big pots... They're usually really good commercial quality (think 8 and 10 gauge aluminum or steel) and usually a good deal.
