What are the chances of infection if the wort was allowed to sit in a sealed carboy for about 24 hrs before pitching the yeast?

I made my starter with some of the LME I used to make the full batch with and it needed some time for the yeasties to get working.

Thanks,

Ron

Next time, if you have to choose between letting the starter ramp up and pitching without a starter, go with the latter. You'll have a longer lag time than had you made a starter ahead of time, but at least the yeast will be in the wort getting ready to roll.

In this case, though, don't worry---the chances of infection are minuscule.
