So I have been kegging for a few months now and I had my first big OOPS the other day. I put a keg on to force carb and they are usually perfect at right about 3 days on the gas. Unfortunately, I forgot about it and left it carbing for an extra day or so. It now tastes like beer champagne...anything I can do to get some of the CO2 out of suspension without ruining the beer?

Remove the QD from the keg.

Open the pressure relief valve to allow excess CO to escape.

Come back in an hour and burp it again. More CO2 will escape from the brew.

Pour some brew without putting the QD back on. If it's still too highly carbonated repeat the process.

I know for soda you can put a straw into and blow, the CO2 escapes...within minutes the soda is flat. You don't want to do this to a beer because it also oxidizes it.

Great! Thanks guys! Love that I can hop on here and get answers within a few minutes! I LOVE HBT!!! :ban:
