I'm brewing my fourth bathch today, I made my first starter last night in a 1000 mL flask. Last night I swirled it to agitate it and blew the foam stopper right off the top- my starter was Wyeast Scottish 125 ml + 650 mL water + 1/2 cup Breiss light DME- I lost about 75 mL of the solution out the top. I learned my lesson not to swirl too vigorously, and made a mess in the process.
Will my yeast starter most likely be OK, and enough?

You're going to be absolutely fine. And please don't let me hear you say you agitated your starter too much!:D

That's the whole principal behind using a stir plate.

Thanks for the input...my wife's mom and dad were both chemists, unfortunately her dad got rid of his stir plates a few years ago...I guess I'll be buying one now.
