I'm having some trouble with arranging the parts for my brew stand plumbing. This is what I plan to get, in the order that they are connected:
- 10 PSI regulator with 3/8 FIP
- Gas Pipe Adapter - 1/2" mpt x 3/8" Male Flare: https://morebeer.com/view_product/17274/beerwinecoffee/Gas_Pipe_Adapter_-_1_2_mpt_x_3_8_Male_Flare
- Black pipe with some tees
- 1/2" to 1/4" reducing bushing (or something similar, maybe just a reducing elbow or tee)
- 1/4" MPT to 1/4" FPT Needle Valve: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016IZZZU/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20
Now I'm stuck. I need either a hose, piping, or fitting that can get me from the 1/4" FPT of the needle valve to the 3/8" flared fitting on the orifice.
Alternatively, I could use a nipple in the black pipe tees. Then I could flip the needle valve and get a 1/4" MPT x 3/8" Flared.
This hose is the only one I can find that is reasonably short/inexpensive: http://brewsteel.com/?page_id=647#ecwid:category=1936411&mode=product&product=8332414
However, the sizes are not listed and unless the needle valve is flipped somehow, I would need a MPT on the hose to attach to it (both ends look like flared female)
Is there another solution I'm overlooking? A lot of people on these forums use the yellow flex lines, but they don't work at high pressure. Also does the direction of the needle valve matter?
Thanks in advance for your help.
