Growlers

Aside from the local brewery, where's a good, cheap supplier of growlers? Anyone have a connection?

Try craigslist. Start asking your friends for glass. You might be suprised as to who has what.

Side note, are you decreasing the amount of priming sugar when you use growlers or is it not enough pressure to worry about?

I keg my beer and I am juct looking for something to take a few pints to share with friends. Not for bottling. Thanks for the link.

I just checked out mountianhomebrew. That's a rip off I get 1/2 gallon amber growlers for 2.50, and no to the priming sugar question.

Go to your local thrift store. I got about 6 or 7 of those french sparkling lemonade bottles, a bunch of grolsch bottles at ours. If you aren't in a hurry for them and don't need them to all be the same type, I you will be able to build up a pretty good stash(I don't need to buy flip tops for a long, long time!)

edit..those are the bottles..they were 99 cents a piece. I replaced the gasket and cleaned the heck out of them.
