SWMBO just made me shave my moustache. I can't imagine why:

Photo%2055.jpg

Spring - moustache and soul patch
Summer - clean or sometimes same as Spring
Fall - Van Dyke
Winter - moustache and beard trimmed short and shaved just below my jawline

I get bored.

Military, so no facial hair except on weekends and leave. I almost checked the puberty answer as well, because it takes awhile before anything substantial shows up.

Voted yes, but only because I have a mustache. I don't care for the little goutiest or what ever you call them on the chin, or the (3 day) beards, but I do like the fully grown (10 + years) beards.

Just my opinion.

I watched La Mustache last night, the entire movie was about a guy who goes through an existential crisis after shaving off his mustache. Facial hair can do some weird things to people.

Yeah, my wife says that I turn into my evil twin when I have my goatee (ala Star Trek) and well...I kinda do!

:drunk:

I grow it out when I want to mess with her or she's pissing me off!

:cross:

I just shaved off my beard, but left the goatee.
In the 18 years my wife and i have been together, she's only seen me without a goatee twice. And the last time, she ordered me never to shave it off again.

So, facial hair +1
Hiding double chin +1
Look weird without it +1

I don't think I could grow a beard if my life depended on it, although I can manage a pretty sleazy looking 'stache if need be. SWMBO says there's never an occasion to warrant that...

The rest of the hair on my head grows like crazy! I chopped off 12" of hair around the new year (donated to Wigs For Kids), but still rock a pony tail.

I work the Graveyard and Watch my toddler during the day so I shave once every couple of weekends so I normally got the Hank Jr goin on, The SWMBO likes it so I just leave it.

Slow day in the office, so I'm bumping threads. :D

Depending on the season, it's either a goatee or a full beard. The last time I saw my chin was my wedding day.

Right now I am sporting a Kerry King/Scott Ian -type of goatee.

I have had facial hair since I could grow it. In highschool we weren't allowed to have facial hair, so I just grew out massive sideburns that even General Burnside (the man for whom they are now named) would have been jealous. Since then I have gone full beard and goatee.

Recently shaved off my mustache and saw my upper lip for the first time in at least 4 years, but I kept the "chin pubes" as SWMBO calls them.

Go-t for me...It gets trimmed WAY back sometimes....but I've shaved it clean twice in the last 10 years.....I just look more stupid than normal!

Once or twice in the winter I'll go for the Al Borland!

Full beard here. Used to keep as stubble but am growing it out now. Been totally clean shaven maybe a total of 4 days in the last 30 years.

Yep, I've had a full beard and mustache for 5-6 years now. I shaved it off earlier this year and didn't recognize myself, so grew it back after two weeks. It's getting some white hairs in there (so's the top) and I hope it turns into some kind of Hemingway-esque bonanza of snowy goodness when I'm old(er).

I usually have some sort of goatee going, but grow a full beard every winter. during Christmas week I slowly shave it off into weird shapes, culminating with the traditional Xmas morning pornstache. I'm about two weeks into this year's beard.

Bald as a cueball since '03 or so.

I got a stubble beard/moustache (#2 on the trimmer). SWMBO likes it that way. I like to think of the Rodney Dangerfield joke that it breaks up the monotony of my face! I'd probably look younger without it, but whatever keeps the woman happy. I actually shaved it off a year ago and it felt pretty weird.

I've got a chinstrap type beard and a mustache. Can't grow enough hair to connect the mustache and beard though. I haven't been clean shaved in over 5 years.

All this talk about beards combined with my hatred of shaving may just be cause for an experiment. I've never had more than a few days of stubble but I know I could grow a full beard very easily. I think I may just have to see a) what it would look like and b) how long before SWMBO tells me to shave it off.

It is a good season for beards so here goes. I'll let you know how long it lasts.

I have had a chin beard since I was 15 so for 20 years. I tried shaving it a few time but SWMBO doesn't like me clean shaved. The stubble is painful in the delicate moments.

I've worn a full beard for almost four years now. Before that it was any variation of a goatee, chinstrap, foomanchu or moustache ever since I could grow it.

I hate shaving, so I keep the beard as an act of laziness. The beard gets trimmed once a month. I keep my hair real short 1/8th of an inch, but the beard is usually between 1 and 3 inches.

I change it up a little bit.

all out beard, short goatee, long ass goatee, soul patch, Abe Lincoln chinstrap, chops, etc.

Not now but it's an annual thing come winter and it goes after spring arrives.

Well, since no one has the kai-honies (sp) I'll man up. I do the Go-T all year long. In 14 years, only shaved it off twice, wife prefers in on. And I shave down there clean, all the time. Since the operation (....V...) wife also prefers that too, so if it gets me more, then well, it gets me more...how can I complain.

Clean shaven here with the exception of sideburns that are generally a bit below the earlobes. I try to keep my hair under 3/4". Sometimes I sneak the 'buns longer and if it weren't for SWMBO's disapproval, I would bring them all the way down to my jawline. Back in my early 20s, I tried the goatee thing but for some reason my chin whiskers all grow in one direction: to the right! It was ridiculous! I looked like I was in a wind storm. And yes, SWMBO prefers the 'manscaped' franks & beans...

Mustache and goatee.

The last time I shaved them off, I also had my hair cut short, wife didn't recognize me........the look on her face was really kind of funny.
