I have some mold/mildew growing in glass carboy. I just transferred to a secondary and I guess I didnt clean it as well as I should have. The mold is growing on the top, can I rack off the bottom and leave the last inch or so?
Yes, I am sure its mildew.

Oxyclean,.... Let it sit full for a day or so with water and Oxyclean and it will rinse right off.

Whoops never mind, I figured out the carboy was full of Beer...

I had some mold growing stuff, I just scraped it off and then let it keep going until I kegged it. Tasted fine...

So yeah, I guess you could either rack from the bottom or just collect it off the top. Hope it turns out fine like mine did.

I recently had 3 infected batches. One was a saison so I got lucky and the funk it added was ok for the style. One was an oatmeal stout, but it tasted ok so I went ahead and kegged it and it is fine. The last is an India brown ale that needs to be dumped. The funk does not jive with that beer, you dig?
