I was running some errands yesterday when I stumbled upon an estate sale. I scored a Bridgeport Brewery growler for $3, and spied three other growlers (Bruaer Bier) with contents under seal for $22 apiece. Today was 1/2 off, so I went back to buy one for $11. I thought two swing top metal-handled growlers for $14 total wasn't bad.

The question is, how bad would this be after 23 years ( I was told the deceased owner had brought these back from Germany in 1985)? :drunk: I'm thinking I may take a sip if it doesn't smell bad.:cross: A slight shake creates bubbles, so there is still carbonation. Any thoughts?

Worst case, I dump it and have a nifty embossed growler!!:mug:

Well, there's only one way to find out......

If it hasn't turned in any way, I'd imagine the hop aroma and flavor would have faded to nothing by now.
