Thin wort for starters

I wonder, if using thin wort (3-5 Plato = ~1.012) would make yeast more or less happy than usualy recommended 10 Plato?
 
theres not much sugar for a starter in that small of a starting gravity. Most of my yeast strains finish in that range and if i was you i would stick to around 1.040SG for starters...
