Tom Waits:

One night, Frank was on his way home from work, stopped at the liquor store, picked up a couple of Mickey's big mouths, drank 'em in the car on the way to the Shell station ...

Dropkick Murphys - Good Rats

Have you ever stopped to think about what rats do for fun?
Sure they crawl around and scurry,
yeah they're always on the run but a rat sure likes a good time
just like you and me
I'll prove it with a tale about a rat-infested brewery

It started with a little lad named vermin McCann
who fell upon a drink that made him feel like quite a man
he rounded up his furry boys,
though some wore a frown
they quickly changed their tune and they slammed a couple down.

[Chorus:]
One, two, one-two-three-four!
Come on all you good rats
we'll send you to heaven you'll find the pearly gates in the froth and the foam
'cause in these vats you've made quite a creation
a potion that turned the Guinness to gold!

Like mice behind a piper,
rats from all around soon headed for this factory in old Dublin Town.
They surely heard the news about this fancy new rat-brew they come,
they saw, they had a taste and knocked back a few

The rats were in a tizzy
addicted to the bone the hairy lugs were giddy
they were never going home
like a bunch of drunken pirates prepared to walk the plank they drank,
they sang, they took a plunge and in the beer they sank!

Don Henley - Sunset Grill

Maybe we'll leave come springtime
Meanwhile, have another beer
What would we do without these jerks anyway?
Besides, all our friends are here

You left me dying, crying here
With whiskey, gin and pints of beer

Joe Walsh - Ordinary Average Guy

We all lead ordinary average lives
With average kids
And average wives
We all go bowling at the bowling lanes
Drink a few beers
Bowl a few frames
We're just ordinary average guys
Ordinary average guys

Rush - Working Man

I get home at five o'clock
And I take myself out a nice, cold beer
Always seem to be wonderin'
Why there's nothin' goin' down here

Johnny Cash

"And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert. Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes And found my cleanest dirty shirt. Then I washed my face and combed my hair And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day. "

Yeah forget Toby Keith

From Hank Williams Jr.

Yea! My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
Yea! My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
Yea! My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
I can't buy no beer.

Well I'm standin' on a corner - With a bucket in my hand
I'm waitin' for a woman - That ain't got no man.

CHORUS
'Cause My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
Yea! My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
Yea! My Bucket's Got A Hole In It
I can't buy no beer.

Well, I went upon the mountain - I looked down in the sea
I seen the crabs and the fishes - Doin' the be-bop- bee.

CHORUS

Well, there ain't no use - of me workin' so hard
When I got a woman - in the boss man's yard.

CHORUS

Extra verse.

Well, me and my baby - we just bought a Ford
And now we sit together - on the running board.

Little Bones - The Tragically Hip

Happy hour, Happy hour, Happy hour is here..."

This is breaking the "beer" rules, but too appropriate for HBT not to share.

Eagles Of Death Metal
"San Berdoo Sunburn"

I filled a bag with cigarettes and apple wine
We'll hit the road again at 10 mintues to 9
Me and this girl I think she's pregnant
And we're headed to San Bernardino

If you want a challenge....find another song with "apple wine" in the lyrics.

I can't remember the song title or the band, but I once heard a country song that went "red necks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon beer ..."
