Is there a way too account for the bittering already present in prephopped ectract or is this tool only meant for unhopped extract and grains?

Pre-hopped extracts have varying amounts of IBUs depending on the style of beer they are intended to make. The best thing to do is to check the extract mfgs. website and find out how many IBUs are in the extract, then enter enough hops into the calculator to arrive at the same amount.
