Ok I don't know if it's just me or what, but when I burp up my homebrew, which is almost always pretty good, my afterward burps taste weird. I've brewed some of the exact same kits as my neighbor, and it doesn't happen when i drink his. The only difference is that he has a keg system, and I bottle. Could priming sugar cause this? Has anyone else had this experience?

Does he force carb? Most likely you are ending up with more active yeast in your bottles than he is in his kegs.

I had a couple of pints of my Hefe last evening, then burped bananas all night.

Comes with the territory.

My wine doesn't have this effect, so I was curious as to the origin of the phenomenon. It's not necessarily a bad taste, but it's one i don't get from anything but my beer. In my defense the only other homebrew I've tasted has been my neighbors, so I'm not certain if it's just mine that causes this.
