I'm not a huge blues guy, but these guys are friggin' awesome. I bought the CD because of the name and the cover:

I figured anyone that ugly who calls himself Watermelon Slim has to be pretty friggin' cool. Turns out he's one helluva blues musician. Also turns out that he's a fellow Okie.....at least that's where he calls home now. His bio on Wikipedia is pretty interesting.

Here's him doing a friggin' righteous version of [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeMRIu43qjg]Smokestack Lightning[/ame]

Then there's him and the Workers doing [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1exPeHukwo]Killing Floor.[/ame] Cheesy intro, but the bass player looks like Billy Bob Thorton, so that's a plus.

Wow...that ain't bad! I've never heard of him, but he sure sounds like the real deal here.

No kidding, huh? That CD with the Workers is somewhat mainstream stuff, with a good dose of tongue-in-cheek humor. He sure as hell looks like the read deal here to me. I can't stop watching that video.

Again, I've never been real big into blues, but I've always appreciated it. Seems like good stuff to me!
