We're trying to find a way to go from the 3/8" Male Flare Banjo Orifice to a 90 elbow so we can connect our 1/2" flex gas connector.

I've looked all over - does anything like this exist? All of the options I can find add several pieces together to go from the orifice to a 90.

I've searched the boards - and I know I've seen folks using 90* Elbows coming off of their burners. What is everyone using to do this?

Thanks!

Sigh. I found 2.
Brass $8 http://www.suremarineservice.com/FIT-461.aspx
SS $35 http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/1LNT3?Pid=search

I ended up at Car Quest, and they made me a hydraulic line with 1/2" MPT on one end to go into the valve and a 90 deg 3/8" flare swivel on the other end. They can look in book and one of the hose materials is safe for LPG and Natural Gas. I ended up paying $20 / line (they quoted me a price before they looked up the cost of the fittings and honored it). I think the fittings were $20 for the 90 3/8" and $10 for the 1/2". Considering I had about $25 / line from HD in the 12" 1/2" line(Lowes doesn't sell 12" water heater lines), various fittings etc, and the $8 for the above link I was willing to pay $35/$40 for the Car Quest lines(so I came out golden). I think it looks must more clean than the flex yellow lines they sell @ HD.

Looks like he increased the price since I ordered - but they work great. They came in the mail today and are just what I was looking for. Used these with 3/8" Female Flare to 1/2" Male Flare reducer so I can connect the flex line. Should work out perfect.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the above fitting? In the same situation and having no luck finding the 3/8" female flare to 1/2" male flare.

Thanks

They aren't the easiest to find. The one we found was from john102561 user on eBay. He sells/sold mostly HVAC / refrigeration parts so you might check those areas or call up some shops nearby. The description for the part was:

Brass Swivel Elbow 3/8" Male x Female Swivel Flare Nut
Item# 390019723704

$5.85 each

Good luck!

I'm finding just that, they are not easy to find.

They're in the same isle as the pixie dust and unicorn food at the hardware store.
