Mason Jars?

this question gets asked quite frequently, don't do it you will have flat beer that O2 can get at. Use the mason jars as glasses if you want that effect.
 
Don't even try. My first brew attempt several years back with no education and a Mr. Beer kit was bottled in mason jars. Needless to say it did not work. I now feel quite idiotic for even trying it.
 
Mason jars are designed to work in vacuum. When you put pressure in them (CO2 expanding) the lids blow outward and they leak.

Good point, I didn't even think about that. Thanks guys! You saved a batch of Golden Path Hefeweizen from certain doom! :)
