I'm working with Inkscape trying to make labels. I've made a ribbon. I want to put my name on a ribbon.

The problem is that the text is straight and level while the ribbon that it's supposed to be printed on is curved.

But, when I try to put the text on the path it goes to the end like this:

:mad:Anybody, know what I'm doing wrong?

Another suggestion is to make a curved line with the same curve as your ribbon, make it invisible, (no stroke colour or fill colour) and put the text to the path of the curved line. instead of the ribbon itself.

Thanks for the help guys. But I still cant figure it out. The tutorial you mentioned is the one that I watched to begin with. I've gone back and watched it several times and I'm pretty sure I'm doing it just like he does. Mine just places it on the end. I've also tried the curved line. I think I must have some setting wrong or something.
