no mention of the dawn of the craft brew movement or the legalization of home brew. There was a lot about advertising beer, and bmc. Still it was pretty interesting.

is that true that asahi super dry was the first dry hopped beer in 1988? i guess i assumed that had been around for a while.

That can't be right? I remember reading in Designing Great beers that thy often dry-hopped Barleywine's in the 1800's. Even listed recipes from the time that had it specified the amounts.

Looked this up, apparently someone got a patent for malt liquor in 1948 or something?
And the thing up first dry hopped beer in 1988 is completely wrong...
