Another basic question from a beginner.
I have done a few batches and I have just been using the premeasure packs of priming sugar from beer-wine.com. Is that good? I mean i guess it can't be bad , I liked the beer I made but what other things can i do?

Also I bottle 12, 16oz. flip top stopper cap bottles on a batch and that didn't really carbonate as well as the standard crown capped 12 oz bottle. is the a reason? I capped them correctly but didn't know if those just don't seal as well and maybe that was the reason.

Thanks in advance

I've used them with excellent results. Check the rubber seals on them for dry rot or toher forms of cracking or improper seal. Should be good to go. I even think that replacement seals can be found for them.
