HLT fermenting

I seem to recall people using their HLT as a fermenter, but search foo is weak this morning and I couldn't find the threads. I'm sort of in between having sold my carboys and plumbing up some Norwesco inductor tanks and want to brew Monday as I have the day off. I figure with the lid on the HLT and having boiled water in it I should be good once fermentation starts the co2 should push any nasties out. Anyone try this?

I've never tried it, but I don't see why it couldn't work.
