Has anyone every had a propane regulator leak through the little relief hole?
I just tried to fire up on old on and as soon as I turned on the tank I get a blast of gas out the hole. I read this could be a clogged system or a blown diaphragm. I tried to blow some air in there but no luck. I think it may be done for. Any similar experiences?

It's almost surely a blown diaphram. The small hole allows atmospheric pressure to contact the diaphram. No gas should be escaping through that hole so long as the diaphram is intact and properly seated in the housing. These regulators are inexpensive and not worth trying to repair.
