In order to get the temps of my fermentation down, I went ahead and set up a swamp cooler in my condo. I ended up going with a 60 qt. Igloo Cube, which I have covered with a heavy bath towel while my Lemongrass Wheat ferments.

Thus far, I've been able to maintain the temperature of the water within a 1-2 degree range (around 65-67 degrees). Is this an acceptable temperature swing range? Or should I focus on trying to keep the temperature even more constant?

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, is it OK if the swamp cooler water temperature fluctuates between 3-4 degrees?

Although ambient air temps in the cooler may swing more, the wort itself will be much more stable. And the other consideration is that actively fermenting wort will be a few degrees warmer than ambient. Sounds like you're on the right track though.

Pics?
