I am in the market for a new Propane Burner. It seems to be quite the hassle to hunt some of this stuff down so I will probably end up on Amazon. I currently have what appears to be a "Bayou Classic SP50 Tall High-Pressure Outdoor Gas Cooker", the burner is pretty rusty and leaves nasty soot on my pots, the stand however is fine. Being frugal as I am, I would like to replace the burner and purchase a hose/regulator (the one I am using is borrowed).

My biggest questions/concerns are:
  1. Compatibility
Can I buy any Bayou Classic replacement burner?
Am I limited to just Bayou Classic burners if I keep the stand?
  2. Price
Is there a cheaper place to find these componenets other than amazon?

Thanks in advance, I look forward to having the knowledge to contribute at some point...
