So I am building my new mash tun out of a keggle (I was using a 10gal Igloo Cooler) and I have been looking around at different false bottoms. I was at the store yesterday and saw a stainless steam vegetable steamer that folds up. I was thinking about just drilling a bigger hole in the center for a diptube and inverting this thing to use as a false bottom.

Has anyone done this yet? I think I am going forward with it because it only costs $6 and is easy to remove and clean. I will post pictures later this week.

I use a steamer as a false bottom so my BIAB bag doesn't touch the bottom.

It works great!
