I tried searching and didn't find much on this...Making my first yeast starter and plan on using a foam stopper, what's the best way to sanitize it? I'm boiling in my flask b/c I have an electric stove so I need to boil in a pot and transfer to flask. Should I just soak it in sanitizer and squeeze it out? Thoughts? Thanks

I just soak mine in Star San, squeeze it out, and then insert into the flask. Sometimes, it do that in Star San so the more flows through it. I would advise getting a couple more of the foam stoppers. After a while you'll want to replace that one.

cool, thanks that's what i was thinking, soak & squeeze! yeah for the cost having a few would be nice b/c i'm sure after awhile they start to go bad
