Is it OK to squeeze the liquid out of the hop bag after the boil? The two batches that I boiled I just took it out and just let it drain. Am I losing anything?

I used to, but don't any more. Couldn't tell any difference in flavor & squeezing put a lot more crud in the fermenter.

I don't always use hops bags, but this is the best reason to use them, IMHO. Then you can squeeze the extra wort out (I use a big sanitized spoon and press the bag against the side of the brewpot.)

Whole hops particularly can suck up a lot of wort.

how about after dry-hopping? Do you squeeze then?

I wouldn't think you'd want to in that case: when you rack from secondary to the keg or bottling bucket, you're trying to keep all the hops trub out.

I usually dry-hop with pellets and just throw them in there: they mostly break down and sink down to the bottom with the other trub after a couple weeks.
