How do I measure IBUs?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to measure IBUs (the actual procedure)? I work in a chem lab so I should have most of the stuff needed, or at least access to it if it is easy.

Good grief I was wanting to know the same thing, but thats just way to complicated.

Surely there is a way to figure it out that doesn't involve a freaking chemistry experiment ?

Isn't there something simpiler ?
 
You could probably send out a sample to a lab that could do it. For homebrewers the only way really available to us though is to calculate the approximate value beforehand based on the analysis of the hops and grains.
