Hi, me again and i hope this does not sound stupid...however usually when you start out saying " I hope this does not sound stupid-it usually is!)

anyway, i have kegged a dark Alt and i was thinking of freeing up my keg so i can brew again.......here is the question.... now that my kegged beer has carbonized, can i transfer it from the keg..via a tube from the spigot like you would do if you were filling a growler......and transfer the beer to bottles and cap or will the carbonation go away??????

thank you for any response...this is a great webb site!...scotty

I do this for filling bottles for coworkers. I use a racking cane shoved up the end of a tap with a stopper that fits a beer bottle neck lettingt pressure out of the bottle as I fill. It's not the easiest way but it works. Other thing I would do is get more kegs, you can never have enough.
