I bought a new 5 burner gas stove last weekend and got up early this morning to see if I could make beer on it.
Aside from making the house humid as heck, the stove and its "Power Burner" will bring the wort to a roiling boil in about 15 minutes from 170 degrees.
I started with 3 gallons of tap water last night and it went from 80 - boiling in about 30 minutes.
No more cooking outside in the broiling sun for me.

Wow! We were thinking of switching to a gas stove, since they put in both hook ups when we had the house built. But 6 burners? What brand is it? Do you have an add pic?

Not a bad price at all for a stove like that. Gunna show this one to my wife. May brew more when she sees how much time we could save waiting on the boil!
