- I dry hopped in the primary, but obviously stick to your own dry hopping procedure.
- Tasting Notes
- See below
Fermentables:
3.00kg Maris Otter
0.45kg Crystal (maybe 50-60)
0.45kg English Honey (end of boil)
0.20kg Flaked Oats
Hops:
20g FWH Challenger 8.3% AA
10g 30 minutes Fuggles 5.2% AA
10g 15 minutes Fuggles 5.2% AA
28g Dry Hop Fuggles 5.2% AA
Mash:
150f for 60 minutes and sparge to required kettle volume
Fermentation:
Ferment on the cold side if possible,
I suppose any clean ale yeast would work perfectly for this beer, I want to try something typically English.
Tasting Notes:
Ive only tasted it after a week in the bottle, but even now it is sparklingly clear and very thirst quenching. The oats may not be needed, but with the large amount of honey I wanted to bulk the FG up a little bit. Mashing higher would do this too. Perfect summer brew.
