Kind of threw this together in my head one night. I may have been sleep deprived (graveyard EMT). I wrote it in a little booklet then decided to brew it up. It's been in primary for almost a month now and is still fermenting.

Now that I look at it, I'm thinking I may have a screw loose. Thoughts?

Yeah, especially when, while brewing (drinking) I didn't realize I was using my 9.5%aa Cascade ::drunk:: I'm predicting a FG around 1.030, so I'm hoping some sweetness will mellow it

One thing I wanted to remember was that this is first a barleywine, and second a pumpkin beer. I didn't want to stray too far from the barleywine roots just to satisfy some seasonal status quo.

This ended really dry, as I finished with Montrachet. 1.017. It is getting race reviews from the local beer heads. I'll be doing some sweet potato in the mash for more pumpkin flavor, and vanilla on the secondary next time. Will probably brew soon so it'll be aged for next Christmas.
