Can anyone recommend an up to date bulk supplier for Simcoe and Amarillo hops (by the lb) for the 2011 crop (pellets)? And if they're available yet.

Hops Direct doesn't sell Simcoe I don't think and typically pellets from the current year crop will become available in late winter or early the following year. Leaf hops will be available soon.

That's the problem with trademarked hops. Very little acreage, and no incentive to provide more acreage because that would drive the cost down.

I used to use Simcoe in my pale ales and then I ran out and it was hard to get more fore a reasonable price. I started using other hops instead, and my beers turned out better!
